Back to work.

Back to work today and it's been quite hectic. Max is on holiday and poor Lauren is poorly again so, with it being the first of the month, it is turning into a very busy day. At the weekend it was great to see son Paul and his fiancee Josephine who made a flying visit. They work so hard and live so far away that we get very little chance to see them but it was great to have them stay for a couple of nights.

It was also great to see the famous ring that we had heard so much about and which left Paul being interrogated by his bank who felt that the charge looked out of place amongst a mass of debits for Domino's pizza and itunes.

Speaking of jewellery, this morning a spider left a beautiful free necklace on Marion's car.

Now that I am back at work, the top priority is to get the blood pressure back down. Despite doubling the dose of one of the pills, the reading is still higher than the doctor wants. Even though we are doing ok at work I can't help feeling that all the bad news that we keep reading, watching and listening to is stressing me out. Can we please have some good news. How about Liverpool 3 points clear at the top of the league at 10pm tonight. Maybe. Just maybe. Here's someone else who feels the same as me and whilst I don't agree with it all, the sentiment is in the right place.
