Lock Up Your Bread - Craigy Bacon Is Out

Yes.Today fledgling sales representative Craig Buckley AKA Craigy Bacon is out on the road on a quick trip to North Wales. Many of you will know Craig as the charming young man on our sales dispatch but he has a darker more sinister side. Whilst out shopping in a local supermarket Craig became increasingly frustrated by two elderly ladies who had all the time in the world and were hell bent on blocking the aisle as they stood and enjoyed a prolonged gossip. Unable to pass, Craig vented his frustration by leaning into one of the chatterbox's trolleys and (unseen of course), squashing her bread. Where do we get them from!

I just read this week's film reviews and Armando Ianucci's "In The Loop" got 5 stars. No doubt it won't find its way to the local VUE and another 100 mile round trip beckons.

It's the social event of the year tomorrow as our dear friends Jane and David Haworth celebrate the marriage of their eldest daughter Louise. Dave and I worked together at Barclays bank thirty years ago and we have been firm friends since. We are really looking forward to the wedding which sounds like it's going to be a fabulous occasion. I do hope that the sun shines on the Wirral.

We're just putting a press release out for the new Sous Vide Digital Water Baths. Here it is.
“Leading water boiler manufacturer Instanta’s Sous Vide Digtal Water Baths are now in production. After showing a prototype at the 2008 Hotelympia show, Instanta went on to modify and develop the design in a collaborative project with experienced chefs. After completing the modifications last summer the water baths went on to have six months of field tests in two busy and successful restaurants. Managing Director John Brassey said “ Whilst we have over 50 years of water heating experience, this is our first venture into prime cooking equipment and we wanted to be sure that we made exactly what the chefs wanted. We believe that our digital water baths have many unique features that have come directly as a result of working closely with chefs who use Sous Vide as an important part of their menus”.

The baths are available in two sizes: 25litres ( SV25 ) and 38 litres (SV38) and will retail at £1,000 and £1,100 respectively. Features include
