I don't know about you but we are being inundated with unsolicited phone calls at the moment. Most are trying to sell us phone systems but other items on offer range from cars to franking machine labels. We are registered with CTPS which should prevent us getting these but perhaps our numbers have not filtered through to their system yet. I know that the callers are only doing their jobs but the time wasted dealing with these calls must be costing companies thousands.
Perhaps we should handle the calls like this BT customer did. (do not view if you are of a sensitive disposition)
Or maybe not!
Tonight there are 31 Instanta people taking over the local bowling alley. We have six teams from different departments competing for the coveted prize (er that reminds me I haven't come up with a prize yet. On second thoughts I think there is a bowling trophy that we won a few years ago that can be dusted off).
Had a reasonable week on eBay this week making about £300 profit although one or two items made peanuts and I sometimes wonder if it is worth the effort. Fortunately this lovely Chinese tankard which is about 300 years old sold for £220. I feel that the antiques trade has definitely suffered from the economic downturn. Perhaps now is the time to buy and hoard for the future.
